West Bay Fishing Trips
There is a wide variety of boat fishing / sea angling trips in west bay available from Dawn Mist. The first option is the one hour mackerel fishing which is run from west bay. You will go about a mile out and use custom made Dawn Mist hand lines to catch mackerel. Next is the 3 hour boat fishing trip which involves setting out from west bay and going to a places around Lyme bay to target different types of fish dependant on the season. The next on is a 6 hour boat fishing trip which is similar to the 3 hour boat fishing trip but you get more time to relax and catch more fish. There is also an eight hour boat fishing trip available which is normally done outside of the west bay fishing season and also with a charter full of people. charters on Dawn Mist are also available.

This is aimed at those wishing to catch something other than mackerel. Fishing is done at anchor and is suitable for families. Steaming time 25 mins.
This is our most popular trip, where we anchor over one of the many reefs in lyme bay for various species according to the season. Steaming time is usually around 40 mins.
Most of our eight hour trips are done early or late in our season or by those chartering the whole boat. Read the skippers blog to find out which fish you are likely to catch, at the time you book a trip.
